This HotCars exclusive digital concept brings back GMC's iconic super truck for 2023 with a third axle and a lot of horsepower.

It is hard to argue that the 1991 GMC Syclone wasn't one of the coolest pickup trucks ever built. Besides having a stellar exterior design, it also packed in a mighty 4.3-liter turbocharged V6, putting out 280 horsepower and the ability to breach 60 MPH in 4.2 seconds.

There aren't even that many super trucks that you can buy today - the Ford F-150 Raptor and the Ram 1500 TRX are your only options. Which makes us wonder what if GMC decides to step into the 'sports truck' space once again? A modern version of the Syclone based on the Sierra 1500 would look totally epic.

As crazy and exciting as that idea sounds, we have one better for you: a 6x6 2023 GMC Syclone.

HotCars digital artist Rostislav Prokop revives GMC's muscle truck from the 90s in a wicked new avatar and gives it one extra axle at the back. It looks like something that's straight out of Hennessey's playbook. Let's take a closer look.

If GMC was to bring back the Syclone for 2023, it'd likely get the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 out of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing sedan. The motor produces 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque, pushing the sedan from 0 to 60 MPH in under 4 seconds.

It would be the perfect engine for a modern Syclone with two axles. But if Hennessey got its hands on it and turned it into a 6x6 muscle truck, like our render, expect it to feature a meatier version of this powertrain with performance boosted closer to 1,000 horsepower.
