Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest offers quite a lot of free features—keyword research, content ideas based on your keywords, as well as an option to reverse engineer your competitors’ marketing strategy. It's a handy tool for any ecommerce business owner, as it helps you find new, effective keywords, analyze how well your store website performs in search engines, and see how well are your competitors doing in terms of website SEO and traffic.

Pros

- Ubersuggest shows you quite a lot of information about the keyword your researching. That means you can do a very thorough keyword research for your online store.
- This tool offers a lot of information on domains, so it means that you can also use it to research what works for your competitors.

Cons

- You can only search up to 3 keywords or domains daily, which means your research is limited and you can’t explore many different keywords and competitors.
- If your competitors have their store on marketplaces like Etsy, eBay, Amazon, and so on, you won’t be able to analyze their store traffic with this tool.

Google Trends

Did you know that the data Google gathers through our daily searches is available to you for free and can help you with keyword research? Yup, let me introduce you to Google Trends.

Google Trends is an online tool that gathers info from Google Search, Google News, Google Images, Google Shopping, and YouTube, and helps visualize this data in an easy-to-understand way.

Pros

- Google Trends is an easy-to-understand tool where you can research how well a particular keyword is doing. You can also specify a particular region to research, as well as a time frame, category, and website.
- This tool is completely free, you can access all the information you need without being limited by a paywall.
- You can see whether a keyword is rising or decreasing in popularity, which helps you understand how interested people are in a particular product or niche.

Cons

- You don’t see such values as keyword difficulty, paid difficulty, and cost per click for the keyword you’re researching.

Ahrefs Keyword Generator

The great thing about Ahrefs Keyword Generator is that you can research as many keywords as you want. This tool pulls data from Google, YouTube, Bing, and Amazon, and will pull the top 100 keyword ideas of over eight billion keywords from more than 170 countries. This is an especially useful tool if you’re selling on Amazon, as this tool also gathers data from Amazon too.

Pros

- You have an unlimited amount of searches, so your keyword research is not as restricting as it might be with other tools.
- If you’re selling on Amazon, this tool can help you gather data from Amazon.

Cons

- This tool only lets you see keyword values for the first ten results.

Thank you for this! As a new seller, it often feels like I'm getting nickel-and-dimed before I even see a dime!

I have a question that I cant seem to find an answer to. I just recently connected my etsy shop to printful, and am selling art prints, BUT I want to use my own mockups for my listings, and cant seem to get around being forced to use printfuls mockups. I dont see any type of "upload" your own mockups option. What am I missing? Thank you.
