This 2009 Mitsubishi Galant ended up with it's current owner the way we'd imagine most Galants end up with their owners: as a hand-me down. Determined to make lemonade, Daniel added a set of coil overs, improved the brakes, and added an exhaust.

it's always nice to see someone who loves what he's got but doesnt make excuses for why it's not fast. he knows it's slow but he's having fun with it and making it his own. great video.

"It's just a Galant." An enthusiastic owner who also doesn't sugar coat it. Nice.

I like these One Takes with average people's cars.

Galant is a very underrated commuter / daily driver car

I switch between an 03 Galant (generation prior to this one) and a 99 Mustang manual for daily driving and let me tell you. The Galant is underestimated in terms of comfort. It's so damn relaxing. Its really under rated.

But because it's a Mitsubishi I bought it for 800 dollars.

i own an 05 galant thats just under 200k miles. its obviously not a fast car but it truly is reliable. i wrapped the front end around a tree during a snowstorm and still was able to drive it to a shop with a destroyed radiator.

Is it me or are the drivers of the cheap cars super down to earth and funny and the drivers of cars over $60, 000 mostly super weird quiet and terrible in front of a camera?

Much respect for that guy, seems to be a very down to earth, easygoing owner. Even though he does not praise it, he still respects the car much more than some guys out there. It's a Galant, right? Respect by what really is, not superestimating the vehicle.

This kid is funny. "You are going more agressive than I would. I'm in the passenger seat, but you are doing really good." lol

04 galant GTS best car I've ever owned reliable, comfortable, and with the 3.8 V6 it was pretty fast too.

We had a modified Gallant in Australia from 2005 to 2008. It was the best car ever to close a factory. Car was Mitsubishi 380.

I own a 2011 Galant SE and never thought I would see Matt test driving one lol. It's a great daily, family car and has literally given us 0 problems. The resale is crap, but it does what it's supposed to do. The 19 mpg combined sounds like his car is starting to have some issues because I can get 22-24 mpg when I'm beating on it; 27-30 when on long trips cruising.

Mitshubishi's are tanks thats for sure. My first car was an 03 galant v6 and it ran great all the way up to 240k! We bought it with 130k.

I have a Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart with the 3.8 V6 and it is putting out 260 at the front wheel and it is a really true sleeper no one would expect it especially when you take off at the red light about ran a few tuners some of the new Mustang V6 is the Gallant most people think it might be a joke if they can be tuned up to kick some serious ass.

I bought a Mitsubishi 380 (based off the Galant with a 6G75 V6 engine) here in Australia as my daily beater... great value cars.

I have a 99 galant and I have 213, 765 miles, burns oil but runs fantastic. Best $300 I ever spent

I own the same car, it revs and it’s fun to drive. It’s better to drive a slow car fast then a fast car slow
