"What's for dinner today?"
"Uhh, violin strings."

Reasons why he plays like the frickin devil

-super even and clean runs
-super powerful and accented left hand pizz.
-incredibly even bow work
-playing it way faster that any other interpretation I’ve ever heard
-nailing the tenths and thirds like it’s nothing
-crazy projection
-super even trills, especially on the double stop trill
-somehow didn’t break a bow hair
-phrasing is super on point
-even vibrato
-sustains the semiquaver ricochet passage in the finale
-nails the flying upbow staccato on the left hand pizzicato passage
-bites the violin to bring out the lower voice
-plays notes way up in high positions super fast and plays them super cleanly and in-tune
-chords sound very even and not-crunchy
-both voices speak cleanly
-nails the harmonics
-trill passage sounds like a mandolin somehow

I could go on forever

I never knew this piece actually sounded good until this guy played it.

If Roman travelled back in time and performed for Paganini, Paganini would think he was the devil.

Can we all just really soak in that this man with 48k subs is easily one of the greatest violin players this planet has ever seen. We're all witnesses

Roman Kim truly is the reincarnation of Paganini. Hands down the best interpretation of God Save the King I've ever heard.

And now, after 70 years, the name of this piece is accurate again.

If you ever wondered how Nicolo Paganini would play himself, i think this guy right here is the closest we have or ever had, simply amazing Roman.

Nine years later and this is still the most cohesive and musical rendition of this piece.

After some googling out of curiosity, at the time of this recording, this man WAS ONLY 21

The seamless transition at 3:32 left me in awe.

This is pretty much exactly how I imagined Paganini himself would play it. I think he would've play it passionately, forcefully, and effortlessly. You truly captured the essence of the piece. Paganini was always so flashy and showy and you sir are that.
