Deep in the badlands of Colorado, Brad (Dennis Morgan) and Grady (William Talman) stumble across a large deposit of uranium. As Grady watches over the treasure, Brad goes into town to claim the land and meets Jean (Patricia Medina). The two immediately fall in love and get married that night. But when the couple returns to the site, Grady reveals he was in love with Jean and leaves. Seeking revenge, he hires a confidence man to take down Brad's uranium empire.

Good romp around the tribal lands for riches and conquests, with a happy beginning at the end. Always enjoy William Talman. The whole cast was splendid. Fine film all the way through.

This was a "film noir" with a comedic element and a pleasant ending. Nice blend of elements.

Born in 1953, 50's movies had character and were and still are fun to watch, unlike today's films, crude, base and too much fast action that is very hard to follow. I rarely go to films today and it is embarrassing for me and family members to have to sit through garbage. I especially loved the Sci-Fi and western movies from that bygone era. The color (Technicolor) in the 1953 movie The War of the Worlds was stunning and it is always wonderful to watch, even today.

Great film about the rush in prospected for radioactive uranium. Thanks for postin this great copy of 'URANIUM BOOM' (1956) Dennis MORGAN, Patricia MEDINA, William TALMAN. I just loved it! And the cool part, I hadn't seen this B-Movie Classic before. It was right up my alley - ticking all my boxes for a rousing adventure, exciting fun and some dramatic suspense thrown. All in a time so reminiscent of the 1950's culture. Yay. :)
