I just love the BR Blue Livery, the early BR crest and the blood & custard coaches and I think that you have got yourself a real nice BARGAIN there for £100 quid. Regards from Ron.

I bought this set while at Uni, had a lot of fun with it, especially since it was the first loco drive Duchess I acquired. You got a real bargain there

i do like those lms pacifics in br blue
i got one myself a few months ago for an absolute bargain
because the previous owner didnt know what it was it was put up for 40 euro (wich is 34 pounds)
and its runs and looks like brand new and i guess its from around 2010 so great value for money there

Flush Glaze do vac formed replacement flush glazing for these coaches (p/n SE-46 available from Peter's Spares). Cheap as chips, easy to fit and they make a massive difference to these coaches. Beautiful loco, particularly with the upgrade and weathering you've got planned.Good bargain.

This looks like quite a bargain. I just picked up my first BR Blue steam engine a few weeks ago, that being the Bachmann Peppercorn A1 'Curlew'. I never realized how brilliant the livery is until I had it in my hands. Now I want as many BR engines as I can find, so I will have to keep an eye out for this set.

That is a really good set for £100, I’ve just paid £115 for a Princess Coronation locomotive alone which I thought was a good price as it is the latest version of the model. They usually go for a lot more even 2nd hand.

Howdee there m8, , yes a cracker of a train considering that over here in oz they are want anything upto $180 (ausd) and that to me is crap as i may as well buy brand new.

why were train sets so much better back then? I wish Hornby would go back to that type of train set. £100 is an absoloute bargin! The mordern hornby princess coronation is £250+ so I think that set offers excellent value for money. I can also back you up on saying that DToS is an excellent model shop, the guy is great to talk to and the have a very good stock, I can thourghly recomend it.
