Those pilots are amazing and so skilful under such flying conditions. Absolute legends That fire tornado was horrifying and crazy to watch. My prayers and thoughts go out to those in California and elsewhere.

Actually that firenado was a good thing, only because in that case the nado pulled the fire in towards it instead of blowing the flames further away. The firenado pretty much bout put itself out in that spot

at the 1:01 mark, the helicopter dumping the water really cut the fire down in the area s/he was dropping on. But what I thought was really cool was how he sent that thing nose up during the drop.

That is horrible! A lot of wildlife suffer and perish in those fires. It's tragic for people, but also for animals.

CA forbade clearing underbrush and cutting fire takes so the fire will clear the forests themselves.
