I really miss these cars. Looked great, sounded amazing, were fast, agile, nimble...

We should learn to appreciate Kimi more, that was one of his best drives.

McLaren Kimi was something else. If only his car was more reliable he would be a multiple time world champion

Can’t believe this was 20 years ago. I was 19, literally feels like it was last week that I was watching this race live.

Love how at 0:21 the marshal casually leans over the barrier, not realising he thereby raises his yellow flag, and gets it ripped out of his hands instantly by another marshal :D

Kimi's final 4 lap is perfect. He smashes the fastest lap in the end. Great driving 🔥💪

Montoya on Schumacher at the chicane was amazing

the scary thing is this was arguably not even Kimi's greatest ever win in Spa. His win in 2009 with the Ferrari he had at that time was a miracle that will never be forgotten

The cars sounded so much better back then. That's a racing sound & half.

When I think what a Formula One car looks like, it's those 2004 season cars that pops into my head. The pinnacle of F1.

5 cars and the track cleaned up in 3 (long) laps. Modern F1 could not understand this marvel.

My favourite era. 2003 was a tight classic. Alonso in 2005 was great. Schumi and Alonso in 2006 was awesome too. People forget that Schumi/Ferrari clawed their way back into the championship only to blow an engine in the penultimate race. I think we all now appreciate how hard it is to win the WDC in a Ferrari. And let's not forget Juan Pablo Montoya and his quick, bully style of driving. 2007 still ranks as my favourite season, Kimi with a shocking title win. The cars were gorgeous then too....

Brings back plenty of memories as a kid watching this race, Kimi finally winning after a disappointing 2004 season. Also, another aspect I miss about this refuelling era is that every lap was flat out and the tyres could handle it, plus the V10’s didn’t need to be managed like the V6 hybrids so you could always push.
