USAs B team at gold cup (now current C team) tied with panama and lost thru penalties and mexicos A team was barely able to beat panama at the last minute.. now USAs B team beat a better panama than gold cup 2-0.. who I would say is better than current mexico rn.. so we got this in the bag.. only major factor is that its in mexico instead of usa.. and if the players get too pressured i could definitely see mexico winning based on the fans atmosphere alone

I believe that some players are afraid of getting injured because they are aware that Mexican players will be eager to prove themselves to their fans. Even though it's just a friendly game, they need to stay fit for both their clubs and their country.

Weston Mckennie came into camp with a lingering muscular injury that kept him on the bench, and now he could miss multiple weeks with a potential muscular tear. Ricardo Pepi pulled a muscle vs. Panama, and Christian Pulisic was released from camp to rest for AC Milan's match vs. Udinese. I think Antonee "Jedi" Robinson was also recently released back to Fulham to prevent muscular overload. MEXICO MUST WIN THIS MATCH, NO QUESTION! I believe Mexico shows up inspired and hungry to stick it to their regional rivals. Prediction: Mexico 2 - USA 0. Dos y Cero, Si, si puede El Tri.

Lol. USMNT has tons to play for, despite their missing players. This will be one of the top ranked teams they play before 2026 WC, no matter what people think of Mexico. They are looking back on a disappointing COPA, where they missed out on huge opportunities to test themselves and their squad, whomever plays, further, and against top-notch competition. If they lose, they will remain 3rd ranked for the upcoming Nations League quarterfinals in November, which is definitely something bigger than a friendly. If they win, they goto 2nd ranked. And primarily, how many matches do you think their new coach will actually get to evaluate his squad? Every one counts for the coach...how could it not count for the team?

As a Mexico fan I hope we lose and lose badly. The only way things are going to change is if we hit absolute rock bottom. Any success we have as of now is just keeping our horribly run federation afloat. I pulled up the roster and saw that Charly Rodriguez is still there and Marcelo Flores got snubbed again. I'm not watching this game and will probably not watch another single game until a major restructure happens.
