As Christians, worship is an important aspect of our faith. It allows us to connect with God and express our love and adoration for Him. However, not all worship music is created equal. In this video, we'll be discussing worship music that Christians should avoid.

We'll start by examining the lyrics of certain songs that may contain false or misleading theology. It's important to ensure that the songs we sing align with the truth of God's word.

We'll also touch on the dangers of singing songs that promote a prosperity gospel, which emphasizes material blessings over spiritual growth. Finally, we will discuss what it truly means to worship God in spirit and in truth.

Some songs are for worship, some are a testimony, some are a prayer.

Knowing the difference is also important I think.

My son who was worked on by paramedics (who tried to revive him) and then taken to the hospital, had no heartbeat or breathing for over 90 minutes, He was given an official time of death by a Doctor. My wife and I nelt by his trolley, and simply asked for him to come back and live in the name of Jesus, and God breathed life into him and he was alive. That was 18 years ago. God does still do miracles, all we did was ask in the name of Jesus, with the faith God has graciously gifted us. Praise and thank you Jesus our Lord and our God.

1 Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
Psalm 96: 1-3

My church changed one line of a song because that line was not rooted in the truth.
I am grateful to be in a church which is so careful about this.

The song says, .
When I open my mouth
Miracles start breaking out
I have the authority that Jesus has given

It is still pointing back to the authority of Christ

My church just sang Too Good to Not Believe yesterday. I personally know people who have seen cancer disappear and who have met people who God raised from the dead. I’ve seen miracles myself. They still happen. The blood still works. Jesus is still working miracles. This song is not incorrect.

That’s why it’s called Praise and Worship. Some is praising God for what He’s done for us and some is worshiping Him!

Phil Wickham is a spirit filled worship leader. I believe he is getting downloads from heaven when he writes his songs.

What I’ve learned about worship songs or any other Christian songs is that, regardless if the original song is man centered or not, it is up to us to shift the focus of that song. You can totally shift the focus of that song from self centered to God Centered. All about how you perceive it and your genuineness towards your gratefulness.

Too Good to Not Believe is a song written so ppl will be reminded of the things that God's done in their lives. Have the song writers themselves seen cancer disappear? Seen bodies healed? Mental health restored? Real life resurrection? I don't know but I can tell you that I have and when I sing those words they mean something to me. They remind me of the goodness of God and they encourage others to seek God.

I'm a very affectionate father towards my kids, something I didn't have growing up. My kids will just come and lay in my lap or lay in my arms just out of nowhere and for no reason and I'll hold them. I didn't have that growing up and to think that I have a Father that I can be that way with isn't "uncomfortable" or off-putting, it's wonderful.

"Lean back in the loving arms of a beautiful father
Breath deep and know that he is good, he's a love like no other"

For the most part, the only thing I agreed with in this whole video was when you were reading from the word. And I'll agree with you that there are some very shaky "christian" songs when it comes to biblical foundation, but you didn't mention any of them here. I mean you quoted the bridge of Champion but neglected the God-centered chorus:

"YOU are my Champion
Giants fall when YOU stand undefeated, every battle YOU'VE won.
I am who YOU say I am
YOU crown me with confidence
I am seated in the heavenly place
Undefeated with the One who has conquered it all"

See how the first half of the chorus sets up who God is and then who we are in him. Again, this is how we are reminded of WHO God is in our lives and then WHO we are in Him. Humans have a very short memory and no matter what God has does for us in our lives, we tend to forget that the next time something comes along that rattles us. That's why we write songs like these to say God is all these things. Because He is and because of what He's promised, we know that we are what He's said we are and we have what He's said we have. It's not man-centered. If my kid comes to me and says "daddy will you spend time me? I want to play with you." Is he being self-centered? "Dad I feel great when we play together!" Is that self-centeredness. When my kids say things like that to me, I feel elated. When my wife says to me, "I'm so glad I married you" I don't think of that as being a "she-centered" comment. I love it. When we say, "God, I love being in your presence. Your presence changes me. Your presence makes my calms my chaos. I need you. I want to spend more time with you." I don't think God says, "Jeez what a self-centered person they are". I think He loves it.

I'm not trying to be confrontational here but I think you're missing it.

This is the lyric for too good to not believe

I've lived stories that have proved Your faithfulness
I've seen miracles my mind can't comprehend
And there is beauty in what I can't understand
Jesus, it's You, Jesus, it's You
I believe
You're the wonder-working God
You're the wonder-working God
All the miracles I've seen
Too good to not believe
You're the wonder-working God
And You heal because You love
Oh, the miracles we'll see
You're too good to not believe
Too good to not believe, too good to not believe
And I can't resurrect a man with my own hands
But just the mention of Your name can raise the dead
All the glory to the only one who can
Jesus, it's You, Jesus, it's You
I believe
You're the wonder-working God
You're the wonder-working God
All the miracles I've seen
Too good to not believe
You're the wonder-working God
And You heal because You love
Oh, the miracles we'll see
You're too good to not believe
Too good to not believe, too good to not believe
After everything I've seen
You're too good to not believe
Too good to not believe
Oh, I believe, I believe in Jesus
Yeah, oh, I believe
Yes I believe
Have seen too much to not believe
You good
Have seen cancer disappear
Have seen broken bodies healed
Don't you tell me He can't do it
Don't you tell me He can't do it
Have seen real life resurrection
Have seen mental health restored
Don't you tell me He can't do it
Don't you tell me He can't do it
Have seen families reunited
Have seen prodigals return
Don't you tell me He can't do it
Don't you tell me He can't do it
Have seen troubled souls delivered
Have seen addicts finally freed
Don't you tell me He can't do it
Don't you tell me He can't do it
We'll see cities in revival
Salvation flood the streets
Don't you tell me He can't do it
Don't you tell me He can't do it
We'll see glory fill the nations
Like the world has never seen
Don't you tell me He can't do it
'Cause I know that He can
Oh, I believe
You're the wonder-working God
You're the wonder-working God
All the miracles I've seen
Too good to not believe
You're the wonder-working God
And You heal because You love
Oh, the miracles we'll see
You're too good to not believe
Too good to not believe, too good to not believe
God you're so good
You're so good
Have seen you heal forever
Oh, You so good
Yes I believe, I believe
Have seen too much to not believe
I believe, I believe
I believe You have all authority Jesus
In heaven and on Earth
You reign above it all
You reign above it all
Everything bows to the name of Jesus
Everything bows to the name of Jesus
The only name that can save
The only name that can heal

Ask God for wisdom and the holy spirit should minister to you. If you have the spirit of God then you should be able to differentiate spiritual songs and worldly songs. If the youtuber is doing it for views then God will visit him but if as a result of ignorance may God have mercy on him. Be a true Christian and walk in the spirit.

Yes, so true! My family thinks I’m being silly when I stop listening to certain songs or preachers because of biblical reasons but I have to follow the Holy Spirit that guides me and not just go along with them or anyone else, because God is who I have to answer to not my family!

True worship is a matter of the heart. I would avoid judging other Christian artists / musicians, as a lot of the songs are inspired by God, and inspire the listeners to focus on God.

In the song champion, when it says “when I lift my voice and shout, miracles start breaking out” I’m not singing that miracles come out of my mouth when I praise the Lord, I’m singing that just my praise and worship, and other peoples praise and worship, is enough for God to work with. When I ask for a Miracle in Jesus name I’m not saying “God, you have to honor that now!” I’m saying that if God wills a miracle, I’m all for God doing His wil. The sound of collective praise is where I have seen miracles happen, I’ve seen sprained ankles, and long lasting leg problems, go away in an instant through praise
