As a intense Topaz user, I see people does bad things because they don't understand what the functions really does and how they interact together. To make it short: I recommend do not use high settings of "revert compressions" & "recovery details" if you wana keep max naturalness.

For most of my upscales, I use Rhea or Iris in relative to Auto mode (or a combination of both, scene based). Rhea or Iris: Try to use only "sharpen" and "deblur", because they are lower invasive. Sharpen does not what you think; sharpen breaks down simillar colored pixel clusters and is a form of opposite of deblur! If you increase sharpen, then higher values of deblur are possible. But if you push sharpen to high, image loses to much naturalness! Yes really.

For Rhea I use sharpen between 0-35 (depends on source). For Iris model sometimes you can go higher. If you have set sharpen, then increase Deblur, until you get a sharper, deeper, more 3D look contrastfull Image. When you reach near a form of crytalisation/shiny effect, then highest possible point is reached. But it must also be smooth enough that fine structures can be displayed good. When you have faces with triangular noses and disfigured ears it was to much.

Most of the time I don't touch denoise because Tapz's denoising is not good and specally the Rhea model reacts negatively with denoise, with Proteus model you can do it.

Commented awhile back, got a good computer for editing now, and I'm making my first quality tutorial soon. Using Vegas Pro since I edit using Vegas. So I've been told to edit everything first for edits and then use Topaz and then go back and then add the CC. that's the way to do it right??
