Hello Sir, do you feel there is actually some difference between primary and secondary focii of a lens? Or, is it right to say that primary focus will become secondary and vice versa, if the position of object is changed(from one side of lens to its other side)?

And another question, primary focus of convex lens is negative while the secondary one is positive. The why is power of convex lens positive? In the formula P=1/f, why is it secondary focus that's considered and not the primary one?
