RE “99%” AP status: you need to put > 60 miles on the vehicle to complete camera cal & reach full calibration, at least in my experience.

I was Plaid+ reservation holder, and will be getting my plaid next month in Edmonds, WA, Blue with white interior. I opted for the 19" wheels for the extra range. Thanks for the overview of the Plaid.

Exciting to see the new Model S Plaid. My only hesitation is the yoke steering wheel and can I personally get confident using one after 63 years of driving with a wheel shape.

Didnt know if you were aware of not but Randy Prost is racing a brand new model S up the Peak this Sunday, he raced a model 3 last year they are having a special Pikes Peak Hill climb event at Colorado Springs Porsche tonight from 5-8 the Tesla S race addition will be there done by Unpluged as well as other cars in case you could make it down. I am supposed to pick up my S next week at Colorado Springs Tesla before end of mo.

When you said the screen “rotated” I thought you meant 90 degrees, from landscape to portrait. Pivoting would be a more apt description of that feature.

I feel old-fashioned for not liking the yoke, but I think a proper wheel just suits everyday driving a lot better. I don’t want to have to uncomfortably contort my body just to make a U-turn. Also, the yoke just seems dangerous if you have to grab the “wheel” all of a sudden, but half of it is missing. I think the new touch controls on the yoke are awesome though and hope they put them on the regular wheels. There’s a reason yokes are only used in airplanes and racecars.

I hope you’ll give a more in-depth response of the yoke after you’ve-driven the car a awhile. It kind of looked like you got your arms all twisted up when trying to make a turn. I appreciate your reviews.
