Inlay 1 Crushed Mother of Pearl

This is my first inlay experiment video. I used crushed mother of pearl in a small palm tree inlay. The idea is to eventually use this as the inlay for the 12 fret in place of the standard 2 dots.

Phew, this is finicky, fine-detailed work to produce the cut out inlay in such a shape, Mark. Ot looks like it should look good if you can get the shape cut into the fretboard with clean lines. I suppose in a pro-shop this would probably be cut with some kind of computer controlled machining tool.

I was wondering where you were working, looks like a different location to your normal spot.
