*slight spoiler* Excalibur Umbra's quest shows how they did it and he was a product of it, if youve played the quest youll know that umbra is the only sentient warframe for reason shown in the quest and thats why he is able to foght when you are in operator mode, he also has a helmet showing the fleshy body inside of the frame.

I still don't see how Nidus doesn't just move around like umbra, he's literally not contained by any orikin tech or electronics, just biomass

It's actually margulis and silvana if I remember correctly. When you play the silver Grove quest you uncover some voice logs from silvana and she mentions that margulis needed her expertise in bio infestation she than later learns that the two of them are forced to make the Warframes

In other words, if you were to be a warframe. You'd be granted intense amount of power and be dang near unkillable, but at the greatest cost of them all, your soul. Your soul or your mind is completely shattered to bits leaving you completely unable to control your body anymore, you wont even really be able to experience anything too. It will be as if youre sleeping without dreaming. Darkness being the last your remember.

All the while, someone else takes control of your body and all of its power, while you sleep, never to awake again. They get to experience everything you had to offer, while youre gone.

Thank you for making these bite sized lore pieces, the lore of WF can be pretty hard to remember at times, so this helps to refresh up on my lore lol. Also has anyone watched that like 9 hour video explaining the lore up to the new war ? That was fun to spend like a day on 😅

Lot more to it, new ones are not actually people only the first were, such as Excalibur umbra. The "new" ones use the infestation for the insides I think if I remember?

The warframes you build are just flesh-steel meatpuppets. they were not the original volunteers. cloned flesh to fit a blueprint, the infested flesh controlled to fit specifications that the orikin wished, and tuned to a shape they could use per task. Don't feel bad for your meat puppets. they dont feel anything, they are inert. you feel waht they feel only when youre in it, and its basically your feelings anyway. the only exception is Umbra. he retained his mind somewhat inside his meatpuppet body and by fusing into him, you calm it. but he is still an individual and was born, not simply made.

There is a bit of flaw wf and tenno were seprate project ballas in the sacrifice calls them a failure as at first these "bio drones" had their minds un affected by the helminth infestation but they too turned against orokin it was later and u can read this in Companion app rhino entry that was discovered that tenno calm the warframe down so they were fitted with transference bolts which margulis devloped to help tenno and she refused to let the children be used for war and hence was executed

I always wondered if Prime Frames are originals and the common frames we use are just copies of the prime frames.

No, it wasn't just skin. Ballas said their organs became interlinked with untold efficiency, and the diagrams in the Vitruvian shows the infestation tearing them apart to remake them. *It's part of the reason Umbra was in so much pain before he killed Isaah.

Judging by the Xaku warframe, even their skeletons were turned into metal, like some kind of fucked up Wolverine
