Except that in real life, there was still a battle, not almost a battle. And also, not just any battle, a battle that would collectively kill over 40, 000 men, in just six hours, and decide the fate of Japan for the next 200+ years. Shogun is pretty much a big “what if” story, about the end of the sengoku era. And it was a great story. But I think for people who don’t know shoguns story, their gripes about it, are that everything in the show would lead you to believe that there is going to be a big climactic battle at the end, and there wasn’t, for good reason, but that didn’t leave the viewers satisfied, especially with the fate of certain characters

It's a drama series. The action is secondary to the story. I enjoyed the ending.

Any Japanese historian would tell you that the Battle of Sekigahara happened.. this was just blue balling.

The book itself only like have 3 lines to describe Sekigahara battle and people is mad because they didnt show that on the mini series which based of the novel itself 😂 make it make sense

It's literally pronounced as "sho-gun", not "show-gan"
