I am eager to buy a pair of QS10s as the rear surrounds in my 5.1 system. Still debating finishes with my dear spouse. Very much enjoy Andrew's videos.

You mention that the midrange drivers in the QS-10 are in their own separate enclosures. Is this the same for the M5HP as well? Thanks!

Are these Bryston speakers at a lower price?

I am interested in the m5hp design and sound... One BIG question I have is will these models perform in a horizontal position vs the vertical. I now this is probably a crazy question but the space I have and the current speakers I am using are horizontally mounted. That's fine if not.. but just to make sure before looking further I'd like to know. I have tried to find any specs or comments on Horizontal placement.. .but, that is one thing that is important to me.

I am just curiosu based on my previous purchase of a pair of M22 V3 speakers is 2013 that were then almost immediately outdated and replaced by the M5 if I was now to purchase a pair of M5HP's will they be replaced by an updated technology in the immediate future?

So, are you saying that people with "normal" living room home theaters should not get the QS10 for surrounds? I don't have an "all out state of the art" home theater.

With all that cabinet/baffle space, should have gone with an 8" woofer like the Bryston mini T, which you folks helped design, unless for that reason you were not able to because of legal agreements. Sure it would have been a bit more expensive, but you would have had something really special on your hands then. Maybe in the future?

I'm deciding between the 8ohm M60 and the M5HP

The M5 has the better woofer (single) and the M60 has a pair of the standard woofers.

The M5 is more affordable on top of that.

What would you say the differences are performance wise? Is the M60 worth the extra investment?

Thinking about the VP160 as center and I currently have QS4 as surrounds and a EP350 from '09 which I don't plan on upgrading.

Thanks

Hi Guys!
I am listening to my beloved M80v2 as I type this. What do you think: will I find an improvement moving from my 13 year old M80v2 to M5HP? Am I crazy? Am I chasing diminishing returns? The M5HP look like such a compelling creation!
I sent an email to 'advice@' - would sure appreciate both of your thoughts....
