As a black woman.. yes I forgive you! People learn and grow over time and a lot of people aren’t who they were in the past. Sometimes people have matured and realized that they’ve done something wrong. It’s just stupid that said problematic person can apologize and people just wanna nitpick every little thing when someone owns up to their actions and actually apologizes and still not give them the opportunity to prove that they’ve truly recognized that whatever they did was fucked up! Change doesn’t always happen instantly! It takes time to prove that someone has learned from their mistakes. I mean, yes, people who did dumb shit and keep doing the same thing they got called out for, whether they apologized for it or not, are the ones who REALLY need to be “cancelled”. Yes I know that when someone does or says something that’s wrong, they deserve to be called out. Being called out gives people the opportunity to reflect and learn. With this video, I can tell that you were truly sorry for what you said.

Kian, I recently hit my 100 days clean from any type of self-harm. And I want to thank you for helping me reach that and making me so unbelievably happy. Weirdly enough the thing that kept me going and made me want to stop was thinking “I can’t die I’ll miss the new knj video or I’ll miss Kian tweeting about something funny.” And I want to thank you so much because without you and jc I’m not sure if I would be here today. ❤️
