I love the way that they say on their website that "We desire to get out of the way so the truth upon which all our songs are built can properly shine. We pray that the lyrics and melodies of these songs would fix eyes and hearts and minds on Jesus. We pray that our songs might join the many thousands of songs written through history to encourage the church, and when they have played their role, to make way for the next ones. And we rejoice that one day the only name left standing will be the name of Jesus, as it should be".

So many times Worship bands and Leaders lose their aim and choose to become the centre of attention rather than point people to Christ; writing easy-listening "me-centred" material rather than solid biblically -based lyrics. CityAlight keep up your good work and don't loose focus on your goal! "He must increase but I must decrease" (John 3:30)

CityAlight is so powerful with their lyrics and voices. Apparently they were at my church's youth camp but I didn't go and I'm so disappointed that I missed out. They've changed my life so much with their inspiring music and faith in God

Yes, my God is the ancient of days...these are the kinds of songs that gives you a burden to pray while building your faith in a broken world...and God is waiting to hear and answer.

What I like about CityAlight songs is that you can take them and sing them in your own church. They're not performance pieces by the singers or musicians, they are genuine songs of praise and worship that everyone can sing. As much as I love the Passion team and everyone who plays with them, most of the songs are performance pieces that you could never pull off in your own church without being a phenomenal singer and have a really good congregation who can sing well too. They're great songs but they aren't praise and worship like CityAlight who have nailed creating songs that can just be sung by all!
