I was there and this doesn't do it justice. Her voice, live, was piercing, it was so awesome. You don't get the kick of the performance through YouTube. All the reverb, the effects and the vibe was stellar. Glad they won, they deserved it!

Fans of this song: I really recommend you listen to a podcast they did with Song Exploder which explains the making of it. Went through so many iterations, and you get to hear Ellie's vocal demos and the band's experimentations with synths. I loved the song beforehand but now hear it so differently knowing the turns they took.

Will never forget when I went to a wolf alice concert and Ellie and Joel went to eat at this fast food place infront of the venue while everyone was in line before the show and we were all just watching in amazement from across the street, only like 2 people went to say hi because we didn't want to bother them but they waved at us and after the show Theo came out to talk with fans and sign our stuff, my point is that they are such a wonderful and creative humble band (also Ellie is fucking badass she threw herself into the crowd at one point) they truly deserve this award
