Some HSC results mistakenly released early

Thousands of HSC students in New South Wales have been given their results early after merit lists were mistakenly published on the NSW Education Standards website.

Official results were due to be released on Thursday - but the names of thousands of students who received marks of 90 per cent or above, were published last night.

The list included the student's name, school and which subjects they had received top marks in.

The lists were removed at 6pm - after going live in the early afternoon.

44 years old. Not once in my entire life time was I asked by anyone to ever see my HSC results. Or any other damn ticket I acquired while I was younger. So if any young people read this, HSC doesn't mean a damn thing in your adulthood life, don't fret over it.

And they took them down again at 6pm because that way they could COMPOUND the error rather than announce that the list was published and these kids listed are GREAT ACHIEVERS -
They should have just left it up and sent a congratulatory message at 6 PM
