Jeremy Vine: Accused BBC presenter 'angry' about claims

Jeremy Vine has urged the BBC presenter accused of paying thousands for explicit photographs of a teenager to come forward.

Speaking on his Channel 5 show, Jeremy Vine said: “It’s his decision but he needs to come forward now.

"I know his survival instinct has kicked in and I know he saw what happened to Phillip Schofield but, my God, look at the damage to the BBC, look at the damage to his friends, to those falsely accused."

I don't really agree with anyone else naming him because of the legal risks but I agree with Jeremy Vine that the presenter should come forward. I think he should either defend his innocence or resign. 'Playing it long' is surely counter-productive. It just loses him sympathy.

I remember when Jeremy Vine took over from Jimmy Young. I'd really liked Jimmy Young, particularly as he would sucker punch any politician, so I wasn't very happy he was no longer on my daily radio. There was a caller to the show who used the word _'flammable'_ and when he'd gone Jeremy Vines starts denigrating him: _'Oh dear, it's 'inflammable' not 'flammable' - dear, dear, dear! What an ignorant fool! What is the world coming to? Bla-bla-bla! Aren't I a clever radio host? Bla -bla bla!'_ I remember thinking, is this really important and out of interest I looked it up in my dictionary - turned out both words have the same meaning and either word was perfectly acceptable. This is when I realised Jeremy Vine was one of these types who wrongly think they know everything and are way more intelligent than 'ordinary people' who actually know more than they do.

BBC are quick to prosecute those without a licence yet slow to act on previous presenters who profit from the revenue £450, 000 plus😢 whos actions are.... questionable perhaps they should understand why people dont pay should get thier own house in order first
