Elvis had a 10 year musical career only, MJ had 40 years.

A hugh number of original Elvis fans have already passed away.

MJ was religious. Elvis rarely drank alcohol. If there were stadiums big enough, Elvis would have sold them out too.

Can't deny both artists successes were off the scale.

So... Michael was also a choreographer, a poet ("Dancing the dream"), and an innovator.
Also part time: designer (designed some of his costumes, stage design, and more), magician (preformed magic tricks on stage ),
I would put as hobby reading, he loved and encouraged it. (Dancing was both hobby and occupation)
