Although I have always found WinterBlade Co designs to be absolutely gorgeous and brilliant, I have never felt that NEED to have one... until now. I have no idea when I will save enough to purchase one or if they will even be available still but this is now my Grail knife. Absolutely stunning knife, Thank you!

HDD uses this principle to park its heads in case of power failure/shutdown. BTW and I have seen magnetic tweezers using repelling magnets....

Been wanting one of these for a while. But it would suck as a work knife. I’m a welder/fabricator. This thing would need disassembled and cleaned after every workday.

I wonder if this is legal in NY. I would assume that yes it is since there is no spring, but it's still being activated by something not attached to the blade... also even if it is legal most cops won't understand and just arrest you.

I don't think I'd want a magnet in or around my knives. I buy tool demagnetizing or degaussing blocks just so my knives don't develop magnetism. A magnetized blade can be a pain to sharpen as shavings will stick directly to the edge like a mohawk... making it difficult to distinguish magnetised fragments from a wire edge.
