In this video, we will cover:
The replacement of hydrogen atom(s) in a hydrocarbon, aliphatic or aromatic, by halogen atom(s) results in the formation of alkyl halide (haloalkane) and aryl halide (haloarene), respectively. Haloalkanes have been known for centuries. Chloroethane was produced in the 15th century. The systematic synthesis of such compounds developed in the 19th century in step with the development of organic chemistry and the understanding of the structure of alkanes. Chlorine containing antibiotic, chloramphenicol, produced by soil microorganisms is very effective for the treatment of typhoid fever.
Our body produces iodine containing hormone, thyroxine, the deficiency of which causes a disease called goiter. Synthetic halogen compounds, viz. chloroquine is used for the treatment of malaria; halothane is used as an anaesthetic during surgery.

All my friends are going to coaching which costs lakhs but my parents cannot afford it so I am watching this video and I am so thankful to you ma'am . I go to a government school and the teachers are not so good . I am so thankful that I came across this channel . Thank you for your hard work may the universe bless you with abundance ♡

1:14:17 homework
1-Bromo 2(1-methyl propyl) benzene
This is aryl halide because of sp2 hybridisation

Answer of the HW question at 1:14:17
1-Bromo 2 (1-Methyl Propyl) Benzene
And it's category of halides is Aryl Halide, since the halogen is attached to a sp2 hybridised carbon atom! Comment down if you got the same answer🙆🏽‍♂️💯

58:01 wrong nomenclature cause whenever you number a double bond carbon the you have to move in the direction of double bond

1:13:46 The answer is-
and it is Aryl halide because halogen atom (Br) is directly bonded to sp²-hybridised C-atom.
