They were so fucking nice to me and my friends. Chuck was a great guy and i went to Tampa to visit my sister and saw them many times before anyone else knew who they were. He had back yard parties and everyone would show up and hang out. They had a rotation of people's houses. such a great atmosphere. Had such a blast that summer.
I have seen Death, the band 38 times in my life. I miss those years. We all grew up together. I was 2 years younger than Chuck and was amazed and grateful that his music evolved like he did. I will never forget all the good times over the years just seeing what new and exciting music he would put out.
R.I.P to one of the greats.

The first time I seen them live "Scream Bloody Gore" tour there was so few people at the show all of us were on the stage and they played for us live. It was like a personal jam for friends. I know its hard to believe but a 100% true story. Nobody heard of them at that point. I went to the show cause of their flyer I seen on wall of the club a week prier during another show. Death was so fucking incredible and so nice and down to earth and so fucking loud omg. they gave all of us their Scream Bloody Gore Cd's. I still have it to this day. The next time they came was the "Leprosy" tour and that place was fucking jammed packed as you can get it and had the biggest pit I've ever seen in such a club. I MISS THOSE DAYS. Miss my youth :( Rest In Peace Chuck Thank you so much.

Chuck Had One Of The Most Clear Vocals In All Of Death Metal If Not THE Most Clear It's Just Amazing

I was fortunate enough to meet Chuck back in 1990 and he was one of the coolest guys I ever met. I was devastated when he died. See you in Heaven, Chuck.

It’s so interesting to see such a high quality video of death from so early in their career

'Life ends so fast so take your chance and make it last.' I quoted that in my speech at my dad's funeral. Chuck left such an impact on me during some of my darkest years, and it breaks my heart that he's still gone. Hope he's taking care of you Dad! I love you both!

I am 16 years old, after months of research I finally got my hands on a Chuck tribute stealth. I am glad I found Death, I mostly cover their songs. When my dad drives me to school we listen to death, he’s been listening to them far longer than me hahaha and I am glad we share the same taste in awesome music. I am sad I couldn’t experience that era, but it is my job now to keep exactly that going. In every presentation that I have, I always make sure to mention him and one of his quotes. My friends who never listen to metal at Least know that guy called Chuck Schuldiner. These songs are difficult to play, yet so fun and energizing and motivating. Rest in peace.

2:41 Arghhj those kick drums are murderous! This is old school extreme metal drumming. No triggers, no marching band ergonomic finger techniques, no four piece jazz kit, just pure heaviness, energy and effort to push the envelope!

This is the finest live Death Metal video of all time. Catches the most bad ass sound with the energy of the crowd.

Turning 46 tomorrow,
Someone gifted me three cassette tapes when I was 13/14
What a gift, Leprosy being one of the tapes, ,
Chuck lives on through me,
I make sure when I listen to DEATH, every one in a block radius also hears it.

They are so brutal till this day. Imagine hearing them for the first time in the late 80's? One of the most influential metal bands of all time.
