Alright, so I think I know what’s going on here, my shooting coach was telling me about the white tape theory, where defensemen, just like this guy, tape a portion of their stick white (or spray paint it) to deceive players of their sticks length or position, to make forwards cheat so they can get an easy poke check, or to get the forwards to make a bad pass and they get an interception.
