The fact she still tried to be their friends even though they ripped off her leg and ear poor cutie she didn’t deserve that

The fact that in the credits, Cutie had been repaired implies that the toys don't really die, if she was actually alive. But that would mean that she spent hours without an leg and one of her ears torn off, and also got to hear the people who killed her celebrate and dance in the tears of the one person she loved dearly.

The voice actress for Cutie nailed it, you really need to be good at acting to make everyone feel THIS bad.
The begging and crying really sounds innocent, desperate and scared, it’s just so good

I really applaud the devs for putting this into the game. The fact that the characters willingly killed an innocent and then tried to bathe in the tears of their own child to break their curse really shows what Narcissism is like.

The fact that the elephant was just trying to have a tea, to just escape; then to plead for her life and finally get ripped apart before falling to her death. Was just...to graphic that I would be surprised if someone doesn't feel horrible just to watch it.

As gruesome as this was, this scene was really important at showing they didn't understand how their actions affected their daughter. Going as far to make her cry without realizing the consequences. I was legitimately upset with the parents as I played through this section

Cutie's death is gruesome, but i believe this all links to rose's psyche: her childlike innocence has beem stripped away from her directly by her parents actions. While they never fought in front of her, they still hurt her to a depressed degree: to a point where rose blames herself for her parents disagreements.

I am not lying when I say I was full on SOBBING during this scene. I loved Cutie so much. She was one of my favorite characters. To hear her cry, and scream, and beg for her life just broke my heart. And to make it worse, Cutie was the one thing comforting Rose during all of this, yet the parents just killed her, watched their daughter cry, felt absolutely no remorse, and were angry instead of upset when they realized that their daughter's tears did nothing. This was one of the most gory and brutal scenes I've ever seen in a game, and there wasn't even any blood.

This wouldn't be so bad if Cody and May came to a realization that they made Rose cry for no reason and start having some self relfection on what their daughter's feeling, especially after seeing the toy that's comforting her through the divorce is all ripped up, but they don't.

Outside the uncomfortable murder of an cute elephant. I like how they destroy their daughters favourite toy then literally bathe in her tears, then read a note from her blaming herself for the divorce, and there's no self-reflection at all.

It’s very effective at conveying the allegory: parents fighting/divorcing has a monumental effect on a child, and can often lead to the damaging or death of their innocence.
