As a controller main, watching the mini-map all the time is very true when supporting teammates, though sometimes I get lost in doing that an end up dying bc I’m looking to often 😭

Honestly, my terminology that I use when playing fighting games can be applied here as well. Just pick and play whoever you think looks cool. It could even be as simple as “I like phoenix’s jacket so I’ll main him cuz it looks cool” find SOMETHING that connects you to the character, because if you don’t enjoy who you’re playing then you won’t have the motivation to grind them and master them. I wouldn’t worry about who’s meta, or who’s considered “support” and all that. Worry about that later, just try to focus on learning what the character does, learn all the ins and outs of that character, then after some time all that extra knowledge about the game will come naturally. Since valorant finally released on console I finally got to play it for the first time and I always told myself if I ever play valorant I’m maining Jett. I think her design is sick af, her abilities and kit feel super complicated to me though and granted, valorant itself is super complicated and I have no idea what I’m doing the game is HARD, like frustratingly difficult. I still have fun though just learning. I don’t understand everything now but I will eventually.
