Inkscape Tutorial: 3D Pixel Text

Create 3D pixel text with an isometric perspective using Inkscape.

This tutorial is for Inkscape version 0.92 and is intended to teach beginners how to use the software. Inkscape is a great free alternative to Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw.

Great, I wonder how you always find your interesting topics and I envy you for your feeling of colors and style.

I think two tools would be of value here:
1) Edit -- Select Same -- Fill Color --> so you don’t have to select all of the shapes manually
2) Document Properties -- Grid -- Axonometric grid --> Why didn’t you use it?

Thank you! But I think it's better to use an axonometric grid. It allows freely set the angle of the side faces. Not only 45 degree.

I am curious why you didn't just duplicate the common shaded shapes and connect them to their respective places on the other letters rather than repeatedly creating the shaded sections?

Why make it needlessly complicated, Nick? Just make the basic block once, group it, and then assemble the letters moving right to left, down to up. And why not use clones? That makes changing the colours so much easier.
