Joe Concha on Kamala Harris' low approval: She has no one but herself to blame

It is the fact that she was Chosen first and foremost Because she is a woman of color, rather than on her own merit, that makes her more scrutinized. If not for that, if she had simply been named as the running mate without first announcing the race/gender criteria, then she would be under less scrutiny. But because they did announce those as the primary criteria for selection, her qualifications were immediately put in question.
