we've been fooled into thinking that God only answers our prayers when He answers us with a "yes."
we've been even more fooled into thinking that if He answers "no" or "wait," that those answers are not worthy of thanksgiving, celebration and gratitude... as if those answers are lesser.

but i look back over every "no" and "not yet" from God, and hindsight shows me how wise, kind and even merciful those answers really were. His "no" is always for a greater glory. His "no" was always protecting me from what i couldn't see then. His "no" was never rejecting me from what was best, but redirecting me to what was even better than what i called "best" then.
and for every "no" and "wait" i'm walking in right now, just remembering the faithfulness of God in every past "no" gives me trust and gratitude now.

perhaps you are facing a "no" or "not yet" from God...perhaps, like shadrach, meshach and abednego, you are facing a fire and cannot understand why God is not delivering you from it.

my prayer is that you be reminded by this song... God only allowed that fire to touch the ropes that men had put on those boys to bind them. they were thrown in bound... they walked out free.
the fire was not allowed to destroy them.
it was used to free them.

whatever you are facing today... it's not happening TO you... it's happening FOR you. God never wastes anything... His "no" is always, always, always for a greater glory.

so thank Him for the "no."
