Typhoon Yagi: China braces for destruction as Yagi makes landfall

China is bracing for catastrophic destruction as Typhoon Yagi has hit the island province of Hainan.

Over 400,000 people were evacuated as strong winds of up to 290km/h could hit the the area with severe weather conditions causing floods and landslides.
