It's interesting how the side red flashers on the ambulance alternate with the two flood lights. Never seen that before.

@call17police I love the look of it too, with the old halogens and the older rear lights.

I could be wrong, but I believe on 9/11 Citywide was used to transport people to hospitals in the downtown area? I'd assume they had to use everything practically available on that day due to the volume of the situation. Correct me if I'm wrong though- I just remeber seeing videos of 9/11 and there being many Citywide apparatus.

So there's a ambulance company in NYC known as Citywide that responds to 9-1-1 calls? Never even heard of Citywide Ambulance, and never saw one of their vehicles anywhere. I wonder if this company is only given emergency calls occassionally if all the FDNY and hospital ambulances are busy with other calls. Anybody know?

@mrderekevan lol sorry about the terminology, txp means transport so emt companies without at 911 contract transport patients that need medical attention from one hospital or facility to another, code 1 is usually lights n sirens for 911 i think, code 3 is lights and sirens for citywide, well we usually where never that far away from a nursing home...there are plenty of transport companies in ny so everyone will be saved from the bad nursing home nurses...

@allanxpoe83 Thanks for your reply, but you lost me in those last couple of sentences you wrote. What is a txp emt and what did you mean when you said "a code 3 backwards from 911"? I'm confused about what you were trying to say. By the way, if they have emergency contracts with nursing homes, does that mean that they would call a Citywide ambulance that might be 20 minutes away instead of calling 911 for an ambulance that's 5 minutes away?

@001looker Still trolling the ambulance videos, huh? You've been posting a variation of this comment on basically every EMS video you encounter for at least a few months.
