I got back into fishing in 2014. I literally had not fished for 5-6 years. I had no idea what to do. My brother was using old 1990s techniques and they were not working for me. I knew for a fact that there had to be new techniques. I found Justin, Rob, and Jon on YT and subbed instantly for all 3 of you guys. I then found Alex, Flair, and 1rod. I am a little older than you guys but the passion y'all put into it spurred on my passion that I had lost for it and the information I was getting from all of you was invaluable. LOJO came along as well and I was so happy that he joined you guys. Thanks for everything y'all do and I hope to wet hooks with all of you one day! God Bless!

Only person worth watching thanks to staying true to his values and calming family content is LFG. Only guy that actually still fishes. Been an OG from the very very beginning like no joke and I swear now the stuff you guys legitimately pump out is just exactly that, pumping out “content” just to stay relevant. Haven’t watched a Googan video in years thanks to its adhd low attention span gimmicky videos that are way to obnoxious. All and all LFG don’t ever change your a blessing and stayed true.

What’s crazy is I remember the whole story of the Googan squad. I remember following all of them before there even was a squad. Was one of the people who preordered the initial Googan baits because I believed in the googans and their passion especially since they were initially turned down by all the big names in the industry but nowadays it’s all about money. Not proving that fishing should be for everyone. It’s sad really. Would be nice to see all the original googans have a podcast that just hashes out all the issues.

I actually remember when Lake Fork, Flair, 1 Rod, Jon B and Tyler's reel fishing all met for the first time when Tyler held the Texas Bass Challenge on Lady Bird Lake. Looks like it was 8 years ago when they all met at Tyler's house for the first time. They were all the anglers who started this whole YouTube fishing craze!

Times and trends are always changing. Fishing as a community is always changing. The GS will always have it's name and place, but it's just not the same anymore and they have to accept that. You can feel from these videos that they are trying so hard to recapture the older golden days. It's just not the same. Every member is doing their own thing, and that's okay.

There's just too many focus on the "rebranding" and ressurection of the GS brand that it is coming off as trying too hard. Continue to make good products and videos and let the viewers and consumers decide.

I commend Rob for taking lead and trying to continue to improve and push the GS brand. That passion and drive is great too see still.

As an older angler myself at first, I couldn't stand what you guys were doing at first. I thought man these guys are ruining and making fun of a hobby I love. But as time went by and you guys started to grow as a whole, I started to see you what you guys were trying to do and that was getting more youth into the sport. Now I watch a bunch of you now and glad you cut ties with the 2.0 guys that tried to replicate what you were doing. Now that those guys have been moved out and the OG are now taken the reins back, I can't wait to see what Googans bring to the table. I still know you are getting hate to this day but I'm glad you take it on the chin and keep proven the haters wrong year after year. I look forward to getting back on the water after having health issues for last few years and I'll keep supporting you till I can't do this anymore. Love you guys and can't wait to see the next few videos coming down the pipeline.
