Maleficent is the best mother ever. she just wants to protect Aurora so she wouldn't have to experience the feelings of being betrayed by someone who once they loved the most.
and I think some parents can relate to this character. especially mothers. maleficent has been looking after Aurora for a long time and she loves her as her own child now that's why she dosent want Aurora to get hurt she dosent want to lose her.

Love that quote. Maleficent was so protective over Aurora at the beginning of this film. All she wanted was for Aurora to not feel hurt if her relationship with Philip went wrong. Both of the Maleficent movies are just amazing, I just can’t get enough of them! I think Maleficent and Aurora (also Angelina and Elle in real life) have a very special bond together! Love them and the rest of the cast!
