Glad your alright. Had it happen on a 65 elcamino with a stroker. Was in the middle of a car show parade. Almost sideswiped 6 of the nicest cars there. Broke the steering wheel using it to pivot every ounce power I could make pushing my entire body on the brake pedal.
Lesson learned is pretrip checks are important no matter how mundane. Feel what your car is trying to tell you.
Hope insurance picksup some of that.
