I have a G4, and I'm wondering WTF happened in that lowlight test coz mine isn't crap like that.

Frankly, both cameras are excellent, and you can't go wrong with either.

If I had to choose, however, it would be the G4. Expandable storage is a huge plus for me and the improved OIS really does make a difference. Plus, camera quality was similar and the manual mode is a nice feature to have.

I'm sure many will prefer the S6 and I respect that.

Around 4:15 you mentioned how the G4 auto takes a picture when you double tap the vol button. Based on my reading, this functionality cna be disabled so it doesnt auto take a photo.  Just a FYI

This is the worst review of AA. Bcos-

1. The images taken from the s6 and few of them from the g4 were bad, blurred n out of focus!
2. All the other reviewers on Utube have shown that the OIS of the g4 is wobbly and the one on the s6 perfectly stays still. (Best video on this is of Danny Winget's)
3. This video was nothing new, as the pics shown were all the same from the previous s6 vs g4 video.

Overall, I'd pick the S6. Better video in low light, better sound quality and overall better photos. I know that one can change all the settings on the G4, but not everyone has the time to do that. 955 people just want to open the app, and shoot right away, and S6 has done a great job in the auto mode.

There is something that concerns me about the LG G4 that no one really has talked about. Every comparison of video capabilities using the G4 that I have seen, including yours, seem to exhibit a very poor audio quality from the G4's mic. It sounds very tinny and thin with poor wind noise dampening or cancelling. One video at a beach comparing it with the Samsung S6 was so night and day in sound quality that I am seriously questioning my purchase of the G4 now. Do you have any opinion on this issue?

I would take the g4 because of the expandable storage for photos and videos and also the superior OIS.

4:00 - FYI - You can shut off this option to snap a photo immediately after launching the G4's camera app from double tapping the v- button. It is in the settings.

You can change the settings not to let the G4 take photo when double press the volume down button.

This is the best comparison video I've seen of the S6 and the G4, but it would have been nice to see a comparison on autofocus speed. Keep up the good work!

Hey Josh you know I'm the setting you can turn off quick shot on the G4 this having the same exact thing that happens on the S6 happen on the G4 right? Double tap will just open up the camera. Otherwise as always I'm grateful for your reviews and shootouts. I was very excited about both phones but went with the G4. I absolutely love it and my pics are coming out amazing.

You can turn off the "immediately take a photo" option for the G4 double tap volume key shortcut in settings!
But great video, learned a lot :)

Just got my G4 two days ago, loving it so far. Haven't got the chance to shoot with the camera but after watching this video, makes me want the S6 more... Only bought the G4 because of the removable battery and expandable storage. Really, having an extra battery wins it for me
