In this video we show the torque applied on a rectangular current carrying loop placed in a constant magnetic field.
The torque is equal to the cross product of the magnetic dipole moment of the current carrying rectangular loop and the magnetic field.

Can we demonstrate it just by hanging the loop instead of making a support at the middle of the loop?

make the coil smaller so you can get more flux on the wires with those small magnets and also get more turns in the coil per length of wire. your current needs to be changing in order for the wire to continue to rotate since the electromotive force depends on a change in either the current, the magnetic flux, or both. do more research.
