Monster Prominence

When a rather large-sized (M 3.6 class) flare occurred near the edge of the Sun, it blew out a gorgeous, waving mass of erupting plasma that swirled and twisted over a 90-minute period (Feb. 24, 2011). This event was captured in extreme ultraviolet light at 304 angstrom. Some of the material blew out into space and other portions fell back to the surface.

From 0:05 it's as if some of the gases are sucked back into the hole they came out of. I'm wondering is that really an atmospheric differential that does that or is it something else, for example the Sun's magnetic field?

Why does the materials seems to fall back toward the source instead of following through a parabola

Why is it so sped up? It could have lasted a minute, at least.
