This song itself is hot stuff!! & The awesome way the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer, sang it truly made it hot stuff!! It was truly a song of the times!! It was the perfect Disco & Disco dancing song!! My generation loved it & always will!! We were so lucky to have Donna Summer as our Queen of Disco!! She had the most amazing & most perfect voice for it!! Love it!! She made us proud!! We have a lot to remember her by & to always be so grateful for!!

TODAY IN MUSIC HISTORY: June 2, 1979 - 39 Years Ago Today: Donna Summer began a non-consecutive 3-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with her single, "Hot Stuff." This was the leadoff single from her double-album opus, "Bad Girls." Meanwhile, the title track and follow-up single was at No. 46 in its second week on the Hot 100 chart and the 12" single combining both the long version of "Hot Stuff" paired with "Bad Girls" had just entered its 2nd of 7 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Disco Top 100 Chart. "Hot Stuff" earned Summer a Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance in the inaugural year for that category. "Hot Stuff, " was Summer's sixth Gold-certifed single and her first of three to be certified Platinum. "Hot Stuff" was written by Pete Bellotte, Harold Faltermeyer and Keith Forsey and was the No. 5 Hot 100 single of 1979. Interestingly, the title track, which was the follow-up, was the No. 2 Hot 100 single of 1979. Donna Summer was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. [06/02/2018]
