This brought back childhood memories for me 😂 going to the international marketplace in Waikiki as a 11yr old and asking a local vietnamese vendor if he'd sell me a balisong knife lol 😆 he told me, " you got the money?..you get da butterfly" 😅. Had so much fun with it for all of one year. Then they made it illegal to carry. Found out a month later that a classmate of mine was part of a sting operation they did at that same marketplace with that same vendor too. Was all over the local news. Thanx Dave for taking back down memory lane with this one 👍🏽🙏🏽. Gonna pick a trainer up and just play with it at home lol 😆

I've seen some of those yt videos of the bali spinning competitions. I can do 2 basic safe rapid openings. That is reslly all I needed. Still interesting to watch. I owned 1 bali 25 + yrs. ago. The zinc handles & sloppy fit of the pins made me leave it after a short while.
I'd enjoy seeing that video of your balisong moves. As to the trainer, stings when it costs the same but the cutouts not only identify but also nring the weight down. Pretty equivalent weight on those. Cheers to 1k by wed. at least.
