The GPD Pocket 4 is a mini laptop that packs the latest AMD processor and features the same screen as the Lenovo Legion Go. Let's talk about how I've been using it for the past month, and why it's my favorite little travel companion for both gaming and some productivity.

Controllers featured in this video:

This was a review unit sent to me by the manufacturer. All opinions are my own, they did not see this review ahead of time, and no money was exchanged in any way.

Yikes, I forgot to show my speaker testing footage! The audio is excellent, with stereo differentiation and an overall balanced sound considering the size. It's also quite loud, I rarely have pushed it past 50%. I apologize for the omission, this channel is really going downhill!

Another device I won't buy? Interesting. Let's watch a 45 minute review of it :)

As an IT professional, the KVM, serial port, small size yet high resolution and relatively large keys for the size make this a perfect device for data center or remote equipment management.

15:10 "I'm not really sure, I don't have a real job anymore" made me giggle a bit idk why lol

I really would love to see GPD make it big. They're one of the few companies that actually try making something unique and fresh

You have a real job! Perhaps not traditional but much appreciated. Coming from someone with a Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2, this feels like a pocket form of that with the touchscreen. I think this is better than the tablet + keyboard combo for not having to compromise on ports, especially Ethernet and full HDMI.

Watching you talk at the end of the conclusion and I am reminded of how insane your work ethic is.
"not a real job" my ass dude, you're a legend.

I tried a GPD Win Max years ago, but the cooling fans were unbearably loud. Sad to see that problem still exists. I have been avoiding their handheld PC designs because of that one important reason.

I was thinking about getting this to replace my iPad. This was a needed review for me. Thanks Russ!

This is the kind of "Innovation" or generally new stuff I want to see!

I've had my eye on these mini ultrabooks for years! I guess I just needed Russ to review one before I took them seriously

As an "informed buyer", tech enthusiast, and casual gamer, I take offence to my favorite content creators and news sources referring to their job as "not a real job"
You do very real work that I value very much.
Hopefully you are joking, I am sure you regard the work that you do is VERY real and therefore is a very real job.

I know that the right ALT key = Left Ctrl + Left Alt.
In Poland we use the US keyboard, and we use the right ALT for typing symbols like Ą Ę Ł.
In Germany, the right ALT is used to type symbols like € and @.
