In the first part of the video, he talks about how IPOs in the past used to offer shares in the capital market to raise money. They use that money to invest in the business. Now, the nature of the IPOs have changed significantly. He further talks about how the role of retail investors have been taken over by private equity players where they fund the capital expansion and growth requirements at early stages and use the IPO as an exit route for these investors.

In the second part of the video, Mani shares a few examples of what happened to IPOs in the last bull market and how they all corrected below their listed price when the broader market went through a deeper correction. He adds "When the market goes through deeper corrections, you will have an opportunity to buy these companies at a later stage".
