She's definitely not the problem - She communicated her needs and the dude blew it off

My boyfriend was acting the same way, we're no longer together, I know it may hurt to hear but you need to get rid of him

You deserve so much better.
Holding hands shouldn’t be a big deal but it makes you feel so special.
It’s such a small thing.

He may be a good guy, he may love you in his own way but that is the problem. He insists on ignoring what you need and loving you HIS way. My husband and I are very different in terms of love language and things we need or see important in a relationship. Over the 20 yrs we have been together, my husband has tried so hard and has taken on board some things that I need that are VERY unnatural to him and they have become something he does or says without even thinking about it.
He has never dismissed those things or scoffed at them or told me "well I don't need that and it is just not me". He knows I need them and he does them for me because he loves me.
Sometimes you need to break up because you are being diminished and even if it is not being done on purpose or that there is no love there. Sometimes love is not enough

Been there and just broke up with him a couple months ago actually. I finally realized that my always giving, never receiving, his constantly taking advantage, was just not okay anymore.

Girl no, you are worth so much more than that, you need to explain all of this to him clearly, and if he doesn’t understand, or even leaves, it’s possibly for the best, you deserve someone who will not only fulfill your needs, but be happy doing it, not just doing it because you asked, but because they want to.

Girl you are special you don’t need a man to change that you are so powerful and beautiful don’t ever let someone take that away from you.

I started dating my boyfriend about half a year ago. He's from a family and culture that isn't AS expressive about certain feelings and he was conditioned by his male friends into feelings like there's a certain emasculated aspect to being "lovey-dovey" or talking about feelings.
Early on I established that we are a safe space to each other and that there is nothing wrong with venting to each other or expressing feelings or worries to one another. I then soon knew that he was entrusting me with certain thoughts, feelings and stories he wasn't talking about with anyone - aside from his one sibling to a degree - and that I could always run to him as my safe space. But three months into it, I had a meltdown in which I expressed that I simply didn't know how much he cared about me. We talked about it calmly and he said stuff like "I'm not big on romance" and "Don't you see it that I care for you deeply?". I then told him "I see it and I know your feelings, but with my past it is no guarantee to me, there is doubt in my head about it and I need you to delete it with your actions and words. Words without actions do not speak, but actions without words are equally expressionless if you do not have some sort of idea that was expressed behind them. And I'm not big on romance is just an excuse. I do not demand anything crazy or over the top, I would not even like that, but even the tiniest or most mundane things could be romantic."
He agreed with that. He realised that it feels nice to go out of your way to demonstrate feelings in words and actions once in a while. We made a compromise. I accept that he's a bit more on the shy side and may sometimes hide certain affections because he gets flustered easily - and I see through that now, cause I know it about him now. I have made a compromise in seeing his care, affection and love for me in even little moments such as the way he looks at me, what he shares with me, how he holds and kisses me, how excited he is in my presence and different things he does for me. He puts in more effort, but slowly but surely out of his own accord. I think he realised eventually that each other putting in work to express ourselves romantically now and then is beautiful. Cooking a meal for me or observing which things I like to make a nice gift, organizing something new as a date are small but meaningful gestures.

If a man or person doesn't care for your needs and wishes, they don't care for you. This man is just with OP because they do not want to be single...
