How Asian Parents Show Their Love

Asian parents are the toughest.... Sometimes it feels like they're cold hearted people, but when we grow up gradually we realize they taught us how we have to deal with the world at an early stage.

As an Asian (Middle Eastern/South East Asian) i confirm this is true.
Neither of my parents told us "i love you honey" but the amount of sacrifices they did for us makes me speechless. They bought nothing for themselves since i was born.

Im asian and my parents always said i love u and proved it with action.. im a parent now and i always tell my kids i love them and tell my parents too. Verbal and action is both important.

This is so true. I am Filipino and my father was the most distant person in the world. He rarely talked to us. He was always in his desk, busy with his small business. But we knew he loved us because he never stopped providing for us, never abandoned us, always gave my mom what is needed for the household. But I never heard him say I love you. But I knew he did.

So many adults today never care to understand how a parent shows love and expect love to be spoken how they perceive it.

It's not always about the money as well. Asians tend to have a really deep family connection and thats why we always try and stick together. Im almost 30 and I cant imagine leaving my parents alone, asian parents rarely plan for their retirement because they know they will feel welcomed to anyone of their child in the future! I love my parents and i will always welcome them to my home regardless if they have inheritance for me or not. Regardless if they can help out with bills or not. They looked after us when we are young and we will give back when they are old.

African parents will never say they love you either and when you younger, you think they don't even love you until you are grown and you realise they loved you the whole time like crazy. It's amazing😂❤
