One of my uncles was a liberator at Dachau. He did not talk about it through most of his life. Before he died, he told me a little bit about the day he arrived there, and he asked to promise that I would not forget.

It’s almost reminiscent of Adolf Hitler's authorization in September 1941, German authorities began deporting German, Austrian, and Czech Jews from the Greater German Reich to ghettos, shooting sites, concentration camps, and killing centers, primarily in German-occupied Poland, the German-occupied Baltic States, and German-occupied Belarus, but also eventually to Theresienstadt in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Ultimately it lead to the final solution of genocide. Before labeling me an alarmist, many did not take it seriously, never thought something so unbelievable could take place. By the time they realized how wrong they were, it was too late and millions of people (war / genocide / famine / disease ) perished.
It’s a slippery slope and it’s frightening!

I would like to point out a very important point that no one talks about.

Being in a "gang" is not illegal. Until you break a law, you are not a problem.

Bikers are in gangs, , , and until they break a law, it's not illegal.

Being in a gang, is not illegal!!!!

This is why due process is a thing. I don't care if they are in a gang or not, because you are not guilty by association. That would be like me saying all Republicans should be in jail for being a Republican because Trump is a felon, and many other Republicans are guilty of violating the law.

Most people living today do not understand the level of suffering and destruction that can come from the violation of one person's rights. If they can violate the rights of one, then nobody is safe from having their rights violated. We all lose.

I can't imagine how horrible this is for this poor survivor of such unimaginable torture to see it all playing out again in his adoptive country.

I instinctively burst into applause just watching this video alone in my home. All four of my grandparents escaped the holocaust and the four of them carefully instructed us what to look for to prevent anything like the Third Reich from happening again. I've seen the groundwork start all the way back in 2016 and now in Trump's second term it's gotten to the point where I am willing to say it's already here.

I actually had to abandon a friend recently like cuz he still supports Trump, I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt that he made a mistake with his vote, but then he said some bigoted s*** and I was like I'm good. He's trying to guilt trip me to being friends again and I can't even deal with it

I cant imagine going to a country legally and getting pulled off the street and ending up in prison for the rest of my life and I hadn't done anything wrong or illegal. The mental torture would kill me before they could.

One of my friends' mother is a Holocaust survivor. She is also 90. She also lost her family. When I grew up in the 1960s and 1970s it was not unusual to have friends who had parents with arm tattoos.

Young people today do not have that that connection. And once it is lost, history is lost.
