Показать описание
On the occasion of Human Rights Day on 10 Dec 2019, the Bonavero Institute is delighted to launch a short film based on Eleanor Roosevelt. Roosevelt is remembered as a champion of the codification of one of the key international human rights instruments at the United Nations. She oversaw the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948. This film charts her involvement in the drafting and includes commentary from her biographer, Allida Black. It also includes extracts from an address given by Hillary Rodham Clinton who unveiled the statue of Eleanor Roosevelt at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights, Mansfield College, Oxford in 2018.
