Ibanez ATK’s have been my favorite basses for almost a decade. I’m sure there are a ton of details I forgot to add in this video, but I think I covered the most important bits. If you can get your hands on one I promise it’ll treat you so well. They are perfect.
The were actually discontinued back in 2018

I have several Ibanez ATK’s. They are CRIMINALLY underrated!!! They are a Swiss Army knife of bass guitars! I was typing this as you said it lol. I can dial in so many tones on these it’s amazing!

It's a shame that the ATKs are not in production anymore. They are so unique, and especially the 2 pickup versions are really versatile as well. And they'll work for any kind of music where you'd play a StingRay, a J, or even a P. The 815 is my favorite of all ATKs: Best value, most versatility, no compromises, and it has some Joe Dart vibes in its all-natural finish.

I have the ATK-300. Still thumping on it since the mid 1990s. The ATK 815 would be my holy grail.

I bought an ATK 300 as my first bass because I had heard good things about it. Many years later, I now have 3 ATKs with my ATK 800 being my main bass. I've had a P bass and a Giibson EB3 as well but those ATKs just seem to do everything I want them to do with no fuss. When I found that ATK 800 for $500 bucks, I rushed to go snag it and smiled the whole ride home.

I really like the all natural look to the entire bass...and yeah, what a tone beast. Nice playing

Just bought an ATK815E recently for $250...couldn't believe my eyes at the price, only thing wrong with it was some black paint on it and it's missing a volume knob, cleaned it up and this thing looks fantastic, just had to lower the pickups and my gosh it sounds amazing too

Just tried an ATK 1200 today that’s in mint condition … it’s got a wide spectrum of sound. Used ones are truly affordable. This is a very high value for money bass. The neck is really nice. Build quality … superb.

Why spend so much for a Stingray when this will be at par for a fraction of the price?

Nice body shape it's got that musicman stingray look about it.
But I wish Ibanez would bring back the musician fretless, my first real proffessional bass I got a shot of back in the early 80s, and yes I did play walking on the moon as well as sons of pioneers (japan) on it, but as a 12 year old I couldn't afford it, but it was good times back then with interesting music to listen to.

I had an ATK 100, which is passive. It was a great bass I wish I had kept. The only thing I didn't like about it ugly headstock! Ibanez just can't make a good looking headstock to save their life!

Im thinking of buying an ATK 305, and I want to know how it'd handle being tuned down a step to ADGCF? I have an EDA905 I tune to A, works fine, so Im curious about the ATK. Also good job with this video.

ATK is an awesome instrument, I agree 100% but bro Ibanez bass headstocks are hideous (especially the TMB series)

Great bass, but watch for weak trussrods.

Worked to the bone, wearing a black shirt, and I hear a train. My guess in NY.
