John Regan Lecture on International Education Issues With Martin Carnoy

Martin Carnoy, Vida Jacks Professor of Education at Stanford University Graduate School of Education, delivers the 2017 John Regan Lecture on international education issues.
Prior to his position at Stanford, Professor Carnoy was a research associate in Economics, Foreign Policy Division, at the Brookings Institute. He is a labor economist with a special interest in the relation between the economy and the educational system. Currently, Professor Carnoy is pursuing comparative projects on the quality of education in Latin America and southern Africa. He is also studying changes in university financing and the quality of engineering and science tertiary education in China, India, and Russia.
This lecture, supported by funds from SES Professor Emeritus John Regan, focuses on international education. The fund enables SES to bring to campus some of today's most respected scholars to present their work and engage the community in discussion about issues in international education.
